Chicken Cacciatore-Anerican Style

Chicken Cacciatore- American style is a great super bowl recipe. You can prepare it the day before and reheat it . It easily doubles or tripples. And just as important, if you use chicken leg quarters, it is very affordable. Any left overs can be frozen. If only sauce is left over, freeze that and then use over hamburgers or beans.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time, the diagnosis was grim, the treatment painful, but courage was unlimited: Oral Cancer. Surgery, Radiation. And how to tempt and encourage and inspire the will to eat. The food wasput together like this. U It became a game. and each day more effort went into it. Needless to say, you can guess where it all went. Can you? It all dispappeared into the food processor and hopefully to be eaten, without ending up in the dog's dish. For recipes, see American Made Yes-Recipes.

A Dismal Failure

It hurts to admit you have dismal failures. I, who could simultaneously, like Eli Manning throws a touchdown pass, chew gum and flip a layer cake out of a pan or an upside cake or honey buns out of their pans without blinking an eyelash, had this miserable result after painstaking effort with this fussy little teacake that is just delicious. It can also be an almond tea cake with apricot, fyi. Here it is, the strawberry tea cake before it was baked. And then the same cake after it was dropped when it was turned out of the baking pan. Well, here's what to do: serve portions in your prettiest bowls and top with thick whipping cream or vanilla ice cream. Make sure you have lots of wine with your dinner first. Not everything in our test kitchen turns out a success but at the end of the day, the dish was enjoyed by all. And it's your secret and mine. And if you want the recipe, I'll get around to it, when I've gotten over the ignominy of the whole thing, plus digging out through the snow in this 10' weather we're having in NH.

Must Have Bread Recipe

French Style Bread

French Bread- If you want a more authetic recipe, just leave out the oil and eat the bread the day you make it. The oil helps keep it moist, however, and you will be able to enjoy it the next day. The full recipe is featured on the recipe page for   http://americanmadeyes.com/recipes.html
